Many use solar power because it's a renewable source of power that is good for the environment. But is it really as good as it seems? Does it take more than it gives? Are people blindly trusting these roof mirrors that are actually destructive?
There are many pros and many cons to using solar energy, and it is important to see it from both sides, because there are many things easily overlooked.

But this brings us to the big question. What is solar energy? It is often conducted by solar panels on roofs of houses. These houses get solar energy because the solar panels soak up power from the sun and use it as their energy source. There are two types of solar energy, electrical and thermal. The difference between them is in their names. Electrical power provides electricity to a house, supplying it with light and appliances, while thermal energy produces heating, or thermal systems for the house.
But there are many cons to solar energy as well. As listed in the table, the initial cost of solar panels is so expensive that it is one of the main reasons people don't buy them. Also, they don't work well on all roof types, and this too makes people think twice about getting solar energy, even though all of the pros are undeniably great.
So people want solar energy because it provides them with a reliable energy source that aids the environment and achieves net zero. But people don't want them because of the cost and the hassle of getting them onto their roof. What do you think?
